DEC:IDES

DEC:IDES is the first Umbrella design trial in mental health to be conducted internationally. It aimed to assess the feasibility of conducting a larger trial to restore treatment decision making capacity in psychosis. It targetted low self esteem, self stigma and a cognitive bias (“jumping to conclusions bias”). An umbrella trial is an infrastructure for conducting multiple RCTs at the same time, so is more efficient, finds results more quickly, and can have a range of benefits.
